Child and Adult Developmental Home Program

The mission of Casa de los Niños’ Child and Adult Developmental (CDH/ADH) Home Program is to promote independence for individuals with disabilities to strive to reach their own full potential. Once licensed you will be matched with a child or adult with disabilities (Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Seizure and Cognitive Delay) who will become part of your household bringing their own unique needs, qualities and circumstances. The Child and Adult Developmental program provides services to families in Pima County and Cochise County.

Basic Requirements to be Licensed as a CDH/ADH Provider:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Be fingerprinted and complete a criminal background check
- Clear a Child /Adult Protective services check
- Submit a physician’s statement certifying his/her physical and emotional health
- Have the home inspected for safety and sanitation
- Smoke detectors in every bedroom
- Fenced pool/Jacuzzi/ any body of water 18” or deeper
- Guns must be locked separate from ammunition
- Have adequate bedroom and space in you home
- Have adequate transportation
- Provide Proof of:
- Drivers license
- Proof of insurance and registration
- Provide Proof of:
- Proof of rabies vaccination for all dogs
- Provide documentation of income that provides for the needs of your own family
- Have employment that is compatible with the child/adult’s schedule or supervision needs
- Complete a home study with CDLN’s developmental home specialist
- Maintain license in good standing by OLCR & CDLN’s requirements.
- Reimbursement for room & board and habilitation
Required Training
- CPR/ First Aid
- ADH– 20 hours of DDD training
- CDH– 20 hours of DDD training
- 30 hours of Foster Parent College
- 10 hours of on going training for renewals
