Basic requirements for foster parents

These are the fundamental requirements needed to begin the licensing process:

Ongoing support for our licensed families

Once you are licensed, you become part of the Casa de los Niños family. You will be assigned a licensing worker dedicated to supporting you:

Specialized and kinship care

For individuals interested in caring for children and adults with developmental disabilities, Casa de los Niños offers the specialized training and support required for licensing.

If you believe a child in your care may qualify for developmental home services or has a disability, learn more about the Child and Adult Developmental Home Program

In partnership with the Department of Child Safety (DCS), Casa de los Niños provides kinship services to support relatives who are caring for children in their family.

If you or someone you know is providing kinship care, please contact us for additional information and support at (520) 326-8250. We provide extensive support to families raising relative children.
